Delete A AT&T GSM User via GSMS Portal

Admins using the GSMS Portal have the ability to delete users under their control. This translates to a complete block for that particular user(s) from accessing the app and all of it's features.

The user deletion can be looked at from two perspectives namely the user's and any other device on which the deleted user was stored as a contact.

Delete User action can be viewed from two angles:

Deleted User's Perspective

User's GAMMA App is Disabled

Delete GAMMA User - Disable APP

Delete GAMMA User - Disable APP

When a user is deleted from accessing the AT&T GSM App, as they open the app they are provided the above pop-up. This means the user is not allowed to access the app features unless the Admin re-enables them.

All the deleted user's messages, contacts, public and private keys will be completely wiped. So, if an admin decides to "re-create" the deleted user, the user must uninstall ans instal their app again.

Note: Even if the deleted user is re-enabled in by the Admin, Users can never retrieve their old conversations.

Devices On Which Deleted User Was Stored As a Contact

Deleted user will not appear as a Contact and will be removed from all Groups/F<%OU%>rites. This means other users under the same company will no longer be able to see the deleted user on their handset.

Meeting Rooms will automatically remove the deleted user from their lists. This includes all the conversations and media shared within the Meeting Room.

Other users will not be able to manually add the deleted User via their phone number by entering it manually into the AT&T GSM App.

All conversations that were between the other users and the Deleted users are wiped. Other users, when opening the app post a user being deleted from their list, will no longer see older conversations. These include A2P and P2P messages.

When User 1 is live in conversation with a User 2 and User 2 is deleted during the conversation, User 1 receives a pop-up as "This User is no longer valid".

If you're a GSMS user who is in conversation with or has sent messaged previously to a deleted user, all of the above scenarios are still applicable.
