Before you start using the AT&T Gloabl Smart Messaging app, verify if the prerequisites for mobile-app user and web users are met. Here is all the information that you need.
Note: Support information listed here is as per the requirement of latest version of AT&T GSM v4.4 and above. We recommend using our latest version to utilize advanced capabilities and receive an enriched user experience.
Mobile App installation requirements:
Android |
•Mobile app can be installed on any Android smart-phone or device with a SIM running on Android 4.4 KitKat or higher |
iOS |
•Mobile app can be installed on any Apple iPhone with a SIM running on Apple iOS v9.0.0 or higher |
Mobile User Provisioning requirements:
Hardware |
For provisioning and activation of AT&T Gloabl Smart Messaging, a mobile device that is associated with an active mobile SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) and a valid mobile phone number is required. The User’s mobile phone number must be provided by a mobile network operator and the User’s mobile phone number will be used and validated during the provisioning process. |
Mobile Application (send messages) |
Before the AT&T GSM mobile application can be used, in addition to installing the app the user must also be provisioned with a license by the customer Administrator. Once a mobile user has installed the application and is provisioned by the Administrator, the AT&T Gloabl Smart Messaging mobile application functionality will be accessible for that mobile user. |
Web User requirements:
Hardware |
Internet-enabled PC, Mac, or any equivalent device with an active internet connection. |
Software |
Any web browser software (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Safari) |
Credentials |
Web app username and password for AT&T GSMS is required for administrative login. Only Administrator users are provided with login credentials to manage AT&T Gloabl Smart Messaging. |
Admin icenses |
At least one web portal admin license for AT&T GSMS is required, this license provides full access and full administrative control. Optional customer licenses reside underneath the Admin license and provide limited customer access permissions, pre-defined by the administrator. |
Customer Licenses |
After AT&T Gloabl Smart Messaging user licenses are provisioned by the Administrator in the AT&T GSM web portal, those users are active in the system and each of those users’ mobile AT&T GSM application will be enabled with the core AT&T GSM functionality. Each mobile user license is provisioned by associating that mobile user’s valid mobile phone number of that mobile user’s active mobile SIM. |
