LDAP (Active Directory) Plug-in enhances efficiency and automates directory syncing. If the above steps are performed accurately, sync will automatically occur at its defined interval and generate sync-reports for administrators.

 

1.Depending on the retrieval frequency, LDAP (Active Directory) Plug-in sync will run in the background on GSMS to ensure the system directory is synced up on regular basis.

 

2.Contacts or User/Contacts will be synced across the customer directory.

 

3.A report will be generated and sent to admin’s registered email address every-time after the sync is run. The report will include details of any updates, success and failure results. More information and format available in Reporting.

 

4.After successful addition and deletion of users during a synchronization the system will then attempt to de-allocate and re-allocate available ‘user’ licenses dependent on the base customer’s licenses allocation. The system will attempt to ensure the total quantity of licenses the parent customer has purchased are correctly distributed. The total for all sub-customers cannot exceed this value but may be less than the value.

 

5.If users wish to perform synchronization manually instead of preconfigured defined intervals, follow the below steps:

 

Login to GSMS portal using valid login credentials.

 

Navigate to Company Setup > Customer Information > Company Information.

 

In General Information tab, click on Force Synchronisation.

 

Sync will be performed and a report will be sent to the admin.
