Overview
SMS Preferences are used to manage your default 'Reply To' destination for web-based orders that you set up from the portal. This is not used for any API-based traffic.
Click the 'Personal SMS Preference' link in SMS tab drop-down menu (also accessible via the 'Setup' menu on left-hand side).

Preference Details
SMS User
|
Your username (email address), which is associated with your SMS preferences.

Default Reply To Address
|
Options include:
•Inbox
•Mobile
•URL
|
Permission Prompt
|
The prompt that will automatically be provisioned.
•Default Example: 'From {Customer_Name}, To opt out reply 'STOP'.
Where {Customer_Name} is a variable that is used to automatically define the name of the customer/company that is sending out messages.
Please make note of the length/number of characters of the customer/company that you belong to, as this will alter the length of the message accordingly.

Permission Pattern

The pattern which is used to match an 'Opt-out' response.
Default example is: "/\Astop/i"
This means that any response containing the text 'STOP', irrespective of the case (upper or lower) combination, will trigger the 'Add to Blacklist' action for an SMS broadcast.
The logic used to describe the pattern is called 'regular expressions'.
